A Continuation.....

It does not matter how many people read the Bible...somehow they don't understand  it.

They do not understand the clear words, nor do they understand its hidden meaning.

Many times the disciples asked Jesus...what does this mean?

Jesus sometimes called his disciples...foolish...hard hearted...even he called Peter...adversary... (Greek meaning of satanas). He never called Peter Satan. He called him adversary.  Look it up in the LXX.

So, what did Paul mean, when he said Israelites and Jews?

Rom 9: 6 Not all israelites are Israelites.  ( my addition small "i" so clear to you...small "i" not real but  false israelites ).

Here Paul says not all "descendants" of Abraham  are his descendants.  Physical does not equal spiritual.

Again...

Rom 2: 28-29  Paul writes not all jews are Jews. ( small "j" mine so you understand  the theological point.

Jesus said exactly the same things...you are Abraham's descendants physically  but not spiritually.

Jesus said John 8:37 I know you are Abraham's children.  He meant physically.

Then  Jesus said  John 8:39 if you were Abraham's  spiritual children, you would do what Abraham did.

What did Abraham do?

He obeyed God

So, Jesus, Abraham's children

Paul, Jews and Israelites, were in the Jewish time.

But make no mistake about it.

Not all christians are Christians.

Same thing as Bible teaches.

Just because you call yourself a

" christian" does not make you a Christian.

Obedience  to God's eternal laws, makes you a Christian.

Obedience.

No idolatry throughout the whole Bible. Until today.

He obeyed God.

Mth 7: 21-23.

We can do all Outreaches. All evangelism. All songs. All healings.

All. All. All.

But do not obey, 

No idolatry.

Think.
