Crimes.....

What is the worst crime a person can commit? Long list... murder, theft, immorality, rape, Incest, the list goes on and on and on. Which is the worst? I would have to say the same as Jesus said; murder. John 8:44 he was a murderer from the beginning. Of course we all know this is not physical murder. Satan didn't physically kill either Adam or Eve. He murdered, killed, raped, destroyed their relationship with God. When he seduced Eve, not sexually, when he seduced Eve, she was murdered. Then satan murdered Adam through Eve. Murder? Yes, their relationship with God was destroyed. When you destroy a relationship, you are a murderer. 1 John 3: 15 and you know no murderer has eternal life. That is not, again, physical murderer. It is a murderer of a relationship. The same situation is used of Judas. But the word used for Judas is he betrayed Jesus. That is the high crime. Murder. Betrayal, of a friendship. A friend is expected to be faithful. But when a friend turns on a friend, that is the lowest of people on earth. Nothing lower than they are. Murder of friendship or betrayal of friendship. This is also known as Pro 11:13 a gossip betrays a confidence, but a trustworthy person keeps a secret. Either you are a trustworthy person or you are a gossiper. When you betray a secret, and give it to someone else, you are a thief. Stealing some information or object, you are a thief. Stealing info is classed as espionage. Stealing info not yours. High crime. Betrayal is the lowest of character or the highest of sin. I think that's clear. Yet we have Peter. It is not said he betrayed. It is said that he repented of his denial of Jesus and he was forgiven. Once a pot has a hole, it can be repaired but it is never the same again: friendship wise. The main thing is, Christianity is about...examine yourself 2 Cor 13:5. It is not about examining others. Romans:14:4. Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls. And he will stand, for the Lord is able to make him stand.
