Darkness

What was here first? Light or darkness?

Of course darkness Gen 1:2: it was there before the light.

God made the light, but darkness was the initial  natural state of earth. There was no good. No bad.

Just darkness.

God is said to dwell in a dark cloud 1 Kings 8:12. 

Ps 97:2 thick darkness surrounds him.

Ps 18:11 darkness is his covering.

Ps 139:12 darkness is as light to you

Then we get 1 John 1:5 in him there is no darkness.

So, very clear.

These verses teach us we cannot limit God to our own understanding. 

God puts people in darkness.

They think they are in God's light.

Because God has blinded them John 12:40.

Tell a blind person they can see, and they say....yes I can see. I see very very clearly.

Now, because they claim they can see...they are now guilty of their blindness....John 9:41

Better we say we are blind...then we are innocent.

But because we blindly say we can see...

Our guilt remains.

God does not reveal to everyone all spiritual truths.

He does not

Only to some.

God reveals only to a few, spiritual truths.

The destiny of most, is lost forever.

That means, being spiritually blind their whole lives, even though they claim to see.

They can't see. God didn't allow them to see.

We are accountable for what God has revealed to us.

It's not about what God has NOT revealed to someone else.

Not your problem

It's about what God has revealed to you.

To You

When we turn from sight, to blindness, we are guilty of an eternal rejection of the sight God gave us.

We then go to the darkness of God
