Exodus:14: 14. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.

We all read this verse. We all apply it to ourselves.We all think God will be on our side. We all think God will give us what we want. But will he? Will he fight for us?  Read this next verse:

Joshua :5: 13.Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?”

[14] “Neither,” he replied

So clearly the LORD will not fight for what you want, but the LORD will fight for what his plan is. His plan may be giving you gold and silver

Exodus:11: 2.   Tell the people that men and women alike are to ask their neighbors for articles of silver and gold.”

or his plan may be bringing you hardship

Exodus:20:20  Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God

God is on his side. His plan. And we can't claim God is on our side, to give us what we want ; just like we can't claim God is on the other person's side to not give them what they want. Think about that. When we don't get what we want, God is on our side.

We just don't think like that. We are not made to think like that. Our thinking,

if we get what we want, God is on our side.

If we don't get what we want, God is on our side.

We don't think like that. My point? It's hard for us to grasp or believe God is on our side when we don't get what we want. But that's faith.

We can't escape life. We can't. We must all go through pain of life. What is important is stay close to God. Stay close to God.

Choices we make

Choices made for us.

In all circumstances of life, joys and disappointments, stay close to God.

I heard recently a young lady I tried to help, many, many years ago, actually  said viva pit senor on her fb account. Why?

Not dealing with crises in life, trusting God .

When we are angry at God, because he does not fight for us, as we expect,  we are left tragically disappointed with God. We turn from God. We turn from God to the world. We gain the friendship of the world. But we lose our soul.

Stay with God when he does not give you what you want.

Stay with God when you see others laugh whilst you cry.

Stay with God when you don't understand his decisions.

Stay with God through your storms, hurts, disappointments.

Be strong in winter.
