Four types of people in the Bible

1.  Pagans

2.  Syncretist Christians

3.  Christians

4.  Apostates

Today we look at Syncretist Christians, syncretism.

This is Group 2 . Within this group we have people who have heard the truth, and accepted the truth, that Jesus died for the sins of people. They believe that Jesus is God. They believe in grace and mercy. Somehow this group 2 does not comprehend the Justice of God. They believe grace and mercy, will permit them to sidestep God’s justice.

The Justice of God, comes in two ways. Two ways only. Jesus’ return, or a person’s death.

The most likely of these will be a person’s death.

Mth 7: 21, 23 specifically talks to syncretist christians. Did we not do Bible Studies, teach, outreach, fellowships, evangelism…..Jesus said- I do not know you.

Hosea 8: 2 Israel claimed to know God, yet God, did not know them, rejected them, as they did not follow his law.

Titus 1: 16 they profess to know God. By their works you will know who they really are, not by whom they say they are.

Mth 7: 16, 20 Jesus said, by their works you will know them…..

Many, if not most, christians, cannot tell the difference between true Christianity and syncretic christianity.

The elect can….

Mth 24: 24 the elect cannot be deceived from who is a christian and who is a Christian.

Elect cannot be deceived as to what worship in spirit and truth means and what is physical and a lie.

Elect cannot be deceived by who is a true shepherd and who is leading the blind

Elect cannot be deceived by what is wrong, by what is compromise.

The verse in 2 Cor 6: 17 come out and be separate, does not just mean about marriage, as mostly used. It means no union with those who practice syncretism.

Jer 51: 6 save your life

Is 52: 11 come out from syncretism

The people of God refused to. Physical punishment.

But now, far more frightening; it is eternal separation from God.

Life may be peachy. Have all good things. Then death comes. Jesus said, you knew it was pagan, yet you persisted. I don’t know you.

Mark 7: 8 God v Tradition; whilst outward conformity, to some, key word some, Christian things, the verse in Mark 7: 8 actually speaks of holding on to pagan traditions, and letting go of God’s commands on these exact issues.

It means when man’s tradition, conflicts with God’s laws, pagan tradition must be thrown away.

The Elect Christians can see this. The syncretic christians cannot. But know it in their heart, for which they will be judged.

Neither pagan, nor syncretic christians can escape death. All the justifying, now, to others, means nothing.

The Bible just cannot be misunderstood in its clarity.

Those in Group 3, always reach out to Groups 1 and 2. Always. Never ending.

A crucifix.

Some religious groups say a cross, with a figure on it, representing death, is not an idol. A help. An aid, to remember Jesus’ death

Some religious groups, with no figure on it, say the cross represents resurrection, an empty cross. An aid.

Ex 20: 4 You shall not make for yourself, an image, in the form of anything………..

So, we see, there are no exceptions, to whether the cross has a figure on it or not. There are no exclusion clauses.

God does not say a cross with a figure of a person is bad, idolatry.

God does not say an empty cross, with no person on it, an aid, a help, is good.

No.

God teaches, do not make an image of anything. With a figure or without.

Simply, do not make anything.

Group 3 Christians, share their life, their value, their faith, in the hope that those in Group 1, pagans, will repent, and come to Group 3, Saved

Group 3 Christians, share their life, their value, their faith, in the hope that those in Group 2, syncretic christians, will repent, and come to Group 3, Saved

You will find groups 1, 2, 3, 4 in the parable of the different types of soil, Mth 13, Mk 4, Lk 8.

These parables; the first type  of seed on soil are pagans. The 2nd and  3rd types are syncretic and apostate christians. The 4th types are about true Christians

Mth 15: 14 And Jesus said, the blind lead the blind, and both fall into the pit .

This is not talking about Group 1, pagans. They are pagans. Not interested in God. No one leading them.

This is talking about syncretism. This is talking about syncretic christians.

If you are mixing God, and human tradition, I implore you, repent, come into the light.

Many are called, few are chosen

Many pagans are called, few get to come to Group 3.

Those who go to Group 2, from Group 1, even fewer come to Group 3

Mth 7: 1 do not judge others

James 4: 12 God is Judge

Luke 12: 57 Jesus said, make your own decision

Decide for yourself

Your salvation is not a group decision. Its personal and private.

Is 8: 20 If they do not speak according to the Word of God, they do not have the light of dawn

Is 8: 20  to the law and to the testimony!
