Four types of people in the Bible

1. Pagans

2. Syncretist Christians

3. Christians

4. Apostates

Today we look at Christians

Group 3.

The very thing I want to first point out, is my line in Group 2; at the start..….

This is Group 2 . Within this group we have people who have heard the truth, and accepted the truth, that Jesus died for the sins of people…..

In Group, 3, there is a different understanding than the Syncretist christians. Which understanding?

Mth 1: 21 he will save his people. Not all. His.

Mth 26: 28 the blood of the covenant shed for many. Again, not all

So, Group 2, syncretic christians, may well believe they are saved

But Salvation is only for those who turn from the darkness of paganism and idolatry, and turn to the living God. By Faith alone, Christ alone, Scripture alone.

No additions to Scripture. No subtractions from Scripture. Pure Scripture. Unadulterated.

To have salvation, one is led by the Spirit to Acts 17: 23 to reveal Jesus Christ. Not verse 29, anything made by man, in any shape or form.

God commands people to repent from this.

God, Jesus, has no form, no aids, no symbols. No idolatry. Pure Spirit.

The Spirit leads the people of God, to renounce all idolatry. SAVED

Those led by the Spirit of God, Rom 8: 14, are sons of God. God leads us, by his spirit from darkness of the world, to the light of Christ. SAVED

In so doing, a believer will choose between family, friends and the Word of God, the TRUE Jesus..Mth 10: 37 Christ first, not family, not friends. Christ. SAVED

Ex 32: 27-28 is such a clear verse on standing for the LORD

27 Then he said to them, “This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbour. ' ” 28 The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died.

Between Mth 10: 37 and Ex 32: 27-28 we see the profound choice a SAVED person makes.

Jesus above all.

This is not a joke. It is very serious

In the Ex 32:27ff death came to idolaters. Death of family. Friends. Loved ones. Death

We do not kill people today in idolatry. We do not.

God will judge them, Mth 7: 21ff, at their death, or Jesus’ return

Believers, SAVED, must make a profound choice. Human relationships or a spiritual relationship with God.

Again, not human relationships, but spiritual relationship, to God, Jesus, and forsaking all others. SAVED

This is the greatest way you can testify to family, friends, loved ones, by placing Jesus ABOVE every wrong, human relationship.

Sadly, Syncretic christians do not understand this. SAVED Christians do.

Do SAVED Christians have their own little club?

John 17: 16 Believers are not to be part of the world syncretic system

Rom 12:2 Renewing of the mind

1 Cor 5: 10 Paul writes we cannot leave the world so as not to associate, with greedy, immoral, idolaters.

No. We do not leave the world.

We do not have our little club.

We are in the world. SAVED Christians stand strong.

But we leave the way of Group 1 and Group 2. Paganism and Syncretic christianity

We are their friends, but we have a different God. Revealed on Judgement Day.

We love them, share to them, ask them, beg them, implore them, to turn from tradition, objects of worship, to the Living God. SPIRIT.

To be SAVED, is God first. Bible First. Faith First. Christ alone.

Jesus said, whoever comes to me I will not turn away….John 6: 37, Jesus will never turn away anyone, who comes to him, in true repentance. Never.

Neither does the BODY turn away anyone who is repentant. Never. Never.

A SAVED Christian has assurance of salvation. They know, they have turned away from all man made teachings. All man made rules of worship Is 29: 13…rules of man.

Jesus said…John 5: 39-40

"You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life."

All the studies, are worthless and meaningless. All the degrees in theology, Bible Colleges, are all worthless.

What counts, is coming to Christ. Turning from the world.

Coming to Christ, to be SAVED, is not by certain set of words, or going to churches which compromise on anything against the Word of God.

Coming to Christ, SAVED, is turning from the world, and worshipping God alone, in SPIRIT and In TRUTH

SAVED is to accept discipline. SAVED is to accept correction. SAVED is to submit to church authority. SAVED Christians do not rebel
