God’s plan

I was listening to someone recently, and they were thinking, how do we know if we are in God’s plan for our life? The simple answer is, we are in God’s plan, because we are here and now, doing what we are doing. One person is here, doing, God’s plan. The other person is there, not doing here, but somewhere else, that too is God’s plan for our life. We all have different lessons to learn. One person eats an ice-cream. The other studies the Bible. Both are in God’s plan. In different places, learning differently. Experiencing differently. What we do not know, is if a plane will crash, or we will not go to any more studies. That future part of God’s plan, or as some call it, God’s will, is yet to be experienced by us, even if it is already set/decreed…Is 37:26. We can only know, God’s plan/purpose/will, when it happens.

Let’s go cooking. To make a cake, a determined thing, you need a specific set of ingredients. You get the wrong ingredients, you do not get the end result. Miss the self raising flour, you don’t get a cake. Likewise, you take a set of life’s circumstances; rebellion, gold, silver, pride, arrogance. Put it all together and you get Ex 32: 24!! I put the gold, jewellery into the fire! Out came this calf! Now, We know a calf didn’t just pop out! There had to be a specific set of circumstances happen, in order to get a specific result. Aaron knew what he was doing. Aaron got the ingredients, got the mold, the shape. Made a conscious decision to make a golden calf. And he did. Even though he knew it was wrong. He specifically had the ingredients, he had the methodology, and he had an end result, what he wanted,. Now, was it God’s plan Aaron made an idol? Yes. Was it God’s desire. Yes. And No. Was it God’s plan? Totally.

So, now enough with the cooking (or is it?). You have two paths set before you. An oldie and a youngie…..Lets say oldie…..you are in the sunset of your life. You have a chance for true love…but it means you must choose…love, happiness or misery and misery. The choice is simple. Except it is not. To choose happiness, the person must let go of stability in life. So now a choice for the oldie….happiness or stability…The choice is a difficult one. Lets go to the youngie…; career, job stability, marriage, children, travel abroad, work abroad…so many choices…work here or abroad. Marry here, live abroad. Get pregnant then abroad is off the cards. Which choice? Which is God’s will? Marry into poverty or marry into wealth? Marry as obeying God or marry as to love? An old child, or a young child? Somehow, we will ultimately have to come to the cross- roads of a real decision. Until that time, we can dream of two directions. But, we will have to choose. We can dream. Reflect. But we will have to choose. And whichever one you choose, and you must, and only you can, as its your life, by whatever set of criteria/circumstances YOU Choose, God has already set your choice, without invading your decision making..Ez 21: 21ff. The choice was the kings. The decision was God’s. Without interfering in the methodology, the outcome was predetermined . You will arrive at the choice, through making your decision, what you want,. AND you must also be ready, to surrender, what you want. In two choices of what you want, you will have to choose one, and let the other go. Choose. That simply put, is God’s will. Your choice. And it HAPPENS
