Sunrise and sunset. Two different times of the 24hr period. Also the words of a song relating to life; sunrise, noon, sunset. Early adulthood, mid adulthood, late adulthood. Stages of life. Strong, vigorous, life is ahead of you. Mid life, established, years of experience behind you. Sunset...on the way out. Body collapsing. Creaks and groans everywhere. On the one hand, giving life, birth, family and the other side is coping alone with sickness and difficulties. Both of these are parts of life. I recently saw a picture of a mum with her new born. Nice. As I was waiting for a line of doctors. Life. We all get our turn. We were all young and starting and we will all end up in physical and emotional pain. The question will always be , what have we done with our lives. What impact did we have on other people. What have we achieved? How did we change people. Many people do the normal things. Marry. Have children. Live. Die. Perhaps that's most people. But others actually have the privilege of really reaching out to countless others. Impacting others. As I saw the picture of mother, baby, father..I was simply reminded, how life quickly passes us by and we will all be forgotten. The only question is, did we live a life worth living.
