Logic? Faith? Reality?

What is real? Sometimes the lines are so blurred. Someone said something to me, and I immediately  I countered what was said in my mind. I rejected it. Totally. 

Imagine  a hungry person. They are hungry. Do you know what that means? Your stomach is screaming for food. And you  tell them...it's ok.  In heaven you won't be hungry.

How stupid. It does nothing for their hunger pains. Alleviates nothing. And they die of hunger. Stupid to say...they are eating now!!. Nothing was done in their earthly life to alleviate their pain.

A person tortured daily. And you tell them...no pain in heaven. Fool. They are in pain on earth. Alleviate their pain. Help them.

You didn't help the hungry. You didn't help the one in pain.

All you gave is platitudes.

I know a person who has 30+ years of a  migraine headache. They have 6 years of a broken heart. A broken body for 2 years. And someone tells them...Mth 5:11-12 Great is your reward in heaven.

Wow. Thanks. Does nothing for my misery. My pain. My escape, ...death, ...is not coming. Such was Job. Death was withheld. Suffering was freely given. Life was held. Death was on the plate. But withheld. And someone says....Great is your reward in heaven for your perseverance. 

Platitudes.

That's the human side. Reality.

Yes..Mth 5:12...

you stood in your test of 30 years of misery.

You stood in your test 6 years you poured out.... gave and got  nothing.

You stood in your test physically  broken.

For sure this person does themselves no favours.

2 Cor 4:17  For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal

Light? 30 years? Light?  Smashed heart. Light, broken body?

Light? Momentary? Really? "Get me outahere"  said the person I spoke to.

Whilst people, who are the cause of trouble, laugh, enjoy life, no work, ever, plan weddings, run up stairs. Have the gall to say....your reward is great in heaven...rhubarb!! (Google it slang)

Whilst their words are cutting, for a person of faith, in some sense, sadly, the words are true.

Not because the person throws them at you then mocks you, laughs, continues with their plans, dreams, desires, but true because a person of God, will persevere.

It's only God, who can give the strength, when surrounded by the bulls of bashan, to continue.

Only God.
