The mark?.....

The way to read the Book of Revelation is generally accepted in 4 ways. Preterist (John’s time). Historical (anytime). Eschatological (end times) and Idealist (spiritually understood). We are all surrounded by conversations re...it’s the end of the world….. The mark of the beast. Well when you read Rev 13:16-17 and you read from an Eschatological (Futurist) perspective, you can now include. And no one could buy and sell unless they had a Quarantine Pass, a Shield, Contact details, a mask, and others have an App to trace where you are. We could laugh it off, and say it’s a joke; except it is not. I was rejected from 4 malls as I refused to provide contact details and wear a shield. I am not paranoid. I just feel this goes too far (as already does a mask and a pass) and really infringes on my rights to privacy. I know there are groups around the world who can see what is happening; and there are others who are like lambs led to the slaughter, and will obey it all. Each person must decide what is right for them, and what is too far. So hard. What is all ok for one person, they justify it by saying it is my health and safety being monitored by the government; for another it is...how dare you ask my name to buy bread; how wicked and intrusive. Who is right? I ask myself a question, why LORD are you requiring all this to happen? I can’t buy bread without a shield and giving my name, and all details. Why Lord? Yes, it’s the government doing this, but not without God having said it will happen. What is this a test of LORD? Compliance to the world? Or compliance to your Word? Where is the line when the world crosses over to Christianity? There is nothing comparable to Rev 13: 17 I could find in the Bible. It is really only mentioned here. The mark of course mentioned in Ezekiel 9: 4 and Rev 13:16; but the buying and selling is nowhere else. So what to make of this? Well, we can go to the view some espouse (eschatological) that it is the electronic banking system. Others (historical) that it was the papists who refused RC to deal with pagans in their countries. But neither of these convince me. Will masks, shields etc, go on for always from now? Well I would hope people would vote out politicians who see it this way. It is not right to cage people up, wear ID tags, as if we were criminals. But this is what is for now. Yet, elections will come. Politicians have platforms. Perhaps this should be an election issue. Is it the mark of the beast? No. Is it papal? No. Is it the electronic world banking system? No. What is it? It is showing how quickly and easily God can send oppressors against us, to oppress us and take away our liberties. When will it end? Same as in Egypt, same as in Judges, same as in Israel. When the people cry out long and hard, to be set free from the oppressors. Nothing new under the sun. What has been, will be again. Oppression has been, and here again.
