This SNL is courtesy of Faith and Grace, twins....

In the Bible there are three sets of twins. Two mentioned, one set implied.

The two clearly mentioned are Jacob and Esau Gen 25: 24-26 as well as Perez and Zerah Gen 38: 29-30. The twins that are implied are Thomas John 11:16. Implied as Thomas means "twin", in Aramaic and Didymus Greek means "twin" . So he is called "twin twin". Pretty solid case for him being one of a set of twins.

So, in one womb, two babies, or in the case of Jacob and Esau, two nations Gen 25: 23. Sounds very much, like us. We also have "twins" within us....two nations....Rom 7: 18-25 the "flesh" and the "spirit". God's law and the law of sin. These are struggles we all have. We know the verses, God's laws, but we fail to apply them, the sin we want to have and the sin we want to do. Sometimes the law of God prevails, and sometimes the law of sin prevails. It is a battle that is life long. It will never end. Some people think that becoming a Christian, these battles will end and we will be "perfect" . This is not true at all.

1 John 1:8 if anyone says they have no sin they deceive themselves and there is no truth in them. So the battle of the two natures within us, can not end until we die. Then and only then will we be perfect. The question remains, who will win certain fights? Can certain fights be fought? I want this. I want that person. I want what is forbidden. I am tired of fighting sin. These are thoughts we have. Some surrender to the forbidden, Rom 7: 19 , and it changes their whole life path. Others can resist in some ways, but still fail in others. Eve surrendered to the temptation. Adam, surrendered to Eve. In some ways, we win, and in others we fail. As a believer, we have hope as we have Rom 7: 25 Jesus Christ. We are commanded to "Be Perfect" Mth 5: 48 and we must strive for this. We must be better and stronger all the time. Yet, in our failures, we must always repent, and forgiveness is there. The question is not, will Jesus stop forgiving you? The question is, will you stop repenting?
