Unity of Purpose…..

Certain things happen once in a while, once in a lifetime. For me, one of those events was Saturday. They happen once in a lifetime. At least, once and once only in my lifetime. Once in a lifetime we get to prepare the school, for 50 years Recognition inspection from DepEd. Music, happens weekly, Outreaches, happen always. Pagan activities under the guise of Christianity, a dime a dozen. Road of “good works” full of them. But, A Christian church, with a Christian school, applying for 50 years Recognition, they are not indeed a dime a dozen. They are rare. What a heart warming sight, to see those MCC people who came to MCLC on Saturday. So encouraging. So humbling. People who gave of themselves, their time, their effort, in the heat of the day, to prepare the school for inspection. All I can say is may the LORD bless you for your time and for your effort. They were part of something big, something rare. There is always something special, about these special and rare church activities. There is a bond of comradery. Unity of purpose. In pursuit of the same goal. Heartwarming. Touching. Ps 133:1 two words, unity and pleasant aroma. It is such unity, a tremendous pleasant aroma, when you are like minded; in purpose and in action. 1 Peter 3:8 Unity, humbling, love, tenderly- these words, verses were going through my mind as I watched people, who benefit not from the school, yet because the school is attached to MCC, it is one and the same, and they served the LORD with their time and effort, in a Christian Institution. This is pure sweet aroma of Christian understanding. And you cant buy that. It is within, or it is not. This type of love, cannot be faked. There are no words of “why not”. There are no words of justification. There is just beautiful oil, flowing down the beard of Aaron. Unity. Having one mind and purpose, in Christianity, is really, for some a struggle. They cannot understand the basic, most basic concept of Christianity. One body. And the parts of that body, are interconnected. They say, yes one body. But I do my work in another body. MCC or PBC or QRD or WXY or whatever the body, local church is called; that is the body God has placed you in. So, to say, I am a part of XYZ but I do my effort, my time, my money, in the world, is to misunderstand the meaning of the body. The body means- here- this institution, God has given you, to pour your all into. It is so discouraging to hear, as we are in body MCC, to hear about body WZX. Who cares? Seriously, who cares? Not body MCC. Couldn’t care less about GHY. Or your good works in BQR. It has zero to do with MCC. Your encouragement, to yourself, is our discouragement. Lone ranger. Renegade. Our encouragement, is when we have a “call to arms”, with dishcloths, mops, brooms, and we see your face. That is our encouragement. Why don’t you join the BODY.
